Splashpad

Providing a graphic and abstract splashpad for an under-utilized parcel of land in a North York Social Housing community. Through this intervention members of the community will have a safe place of respite and most importantly a way to cool off on hot summer days. The splashpad area features an abstract composition of graphic elements which allow for free play and most importantly an inspiring spatial quality for children to engage with. The patterning itself acted as a decorative motif on the ground plane enlivening the view from two flanking towers.
