Edgeley Village

A Master planned social housing complex designed by prominent modernist Canadian architect Irving Grossman in 1967. Though well designed, the community has seen their homes fall into disrepair. The former modernist optimism had been replaced by neglect until our mission to revitalize through a strategic and comprehensive redesign on the entire community, both landscape and modernizing the envelop and mechanical systems. By changing the window design and layout we strived to improve the interior quality of light while maintaining a respect for the original design which employed a manually parametric like facade. Our reimagining of the original Grossman village into a sustainable, vibrant and beautiful social housing community.
