Adanac Restoration

Brutalist restoration. A significant example of brutalist architecture falling into disrepair. The question of whether to destroy any trace of the original design was dismissed in order to identify the building’s strong brutalist presence while updating the envelope and performance. A rigorous historical investigation into subtle redesigns of all elements from hand rails, glazing to balustrades were all reimagined establishing a building which could possess a refreshed character suitable for standing proud for another century.
