The PAPE Ribbon

Our primary mission was to create a safe and enjoyable public realm for this residential complex that has been home to children, families and seniors from diverse social, economic, and cultural backgrounds for the past two decades.  SSA delivered designs that would engage all ages of individuals from within the complex and from the surrounding community and reflect their vibrant culture. A custom parametric fence waves through a community courtyard and playground acting as a connective ribbon. Through extensive resident engagement SSA transformed underused spaces of the complex courtyards into re-imagined, much needed community spaces with playful use of colour blocking and finishes.
